No...it would cost 1900 and one stop to fly out of Huntsvegas....We are flying out of Nashville non stop to Minneapolis and it's 1096. I know parking is a ***** at the Nashville airport, and is super expensive, but we are still saving a ton of money, and we don't have to change planes.

I don't understand the logic of how flying from Huntsville to Minneapolis involves a layover at Charlotte or Ronald Reagan airport.

I've made and canceled flight reservations three times in the last 3 years for Peru and Machu Picchu due to COVID and other issues that came up. I desperately want to see it and bring my kids.

I'm honestly scared to look at prices now.

It's crazy how they route planes. If we flew to Minneapolis from Huntsville, we would have layovers at Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas or Ronald Reagan airport in DC. At least flying from Nashville, it's a 2 hour, nonstop flight.

flying from huntsville to macchu picchu for one person, dates July 10-17 starts at $1588....and that's with two connections
This is not far off the regular price to Peru. I go to South America fairly regularly.
Macchu Picchu is on my bucket list as well. Covid has screwed up my travel plans..
It is interesting, but the entire country of Peru is packed with Inca ruins. Lima is really interesting too. Especially if you are Catholic.

If you are young and single....also interesting.

I've been to Peru on a UNITAS cruise in the Navy but, we weren't allowed to make the trip to Machu. We hit pretty much every country after exiting the Canal to the Pacific.

I was 20 and it was one of the best times of my life though back then, we were mostly interested in partying and meeting women. :D

Yeah Machu Picchu is up in Cuzco in the mountains. The funniest thing about Machu Picchu is they have a little convenience store up there where you can buy camera stuff and red bulls and other drinks.

They charge like $20 for a Red Bull. They might be an ancient Indian tribe selling at a world heritage site but they have mastered the art of a captive market and by god they are capitalists.

One thing I might warn you about. Pay attention to the news if you do consider a trip. The current president is on shaky ground, several scares of a coup. You don't want to be in a third world country when a violent coup is taking place. Might be an amazing experience but unless you have a guy like me who can speak the language and has a network. Meh, probably a bit dicey

Yeah, the uncertainties and safety is an issue and were it just me, I wouldn't be all that worried but, the trip is for my kids as much as myself and THAT part does concern me.

Would also like to see the Straits of Magellan again too but, that's not likely as I saw it from the ship at the perfect time of year and it was absolutely incredible and probably a once in a lifetime thing.
