Back in August ignition was proven to be possible.
Of course there is still a lot of work to do.

I remember my college professor telling us to not expect to see nuclear fusion used as an energy source for a long time. Well, its been a long time and I guess he was right.

Someone developed it over a decade ago but big oil paid him a s**t load of money for the rights, and now it sits in a warehouse next to the dusty 100mpg carburetor...
