Democrat presidents resided over 43 years of war in the 20th Century
Republican presidents 32 years.
War overlap so the US fought a combined total of 136 years of war in the 20th Century.
Which party is the war party???
American War and political party...

How many wars started with a democrat as president and carried over to a republican president and vice versa?Vercingetorix wrote: ↑March 29th, 2023, 12:38 pm Democrat presidents resided over 43 years of war in the 20th Century

Hard to say. The Banana wars lasted almost 20 years and were in different places and over different issues.Mastequila wrote: ↑March 30th, 2023, 1:16 pm How many wars started with a democrat as president and carried over to a republican president and vice versa?
And with Vietnam you have to think American operatives were in Indochina by 1955, Military advisors by 59, soldiers soon after but no official fighting till 1965.
In the end. Congress is the true arbiter of war. The end of Vietnam proved that

Eisenhower and Smedley Butler were correct.
No matter who the president is or what party, there is a continuous entity in the background.

The problem with political parties is it is easy to get people to see the virtue in their own house and the shit pile in the other.grumpy pickle wrote: ↑March 30th, 2023, 2:19 pm Eisenhower and Smedley Butler were correct.

All along the stink is somewhere else and they never look, just keep pointing at the neighbors.
I asked who was the war party in jest because neither one of them has a great record. But those who happen along will probably think it is one or the othet and have some value based reason that state sanctioned mass murder is just dreamy.
Like the most popular American war....Roosevelt started it....Eisenhower finished it.

I could provide pages and pages of evidence, but that would bore you to tears.
Just a case in point......the US FEDERAL RESERVE is chartered in late 1913...a massive world war breaks out 6 months later in August 1914.
Lots of behind the scenes manuevering...

I get what you mean, WWI started in Eurooe absent of American hands. But I do believe we backed into it through Wilsons efforts....almost the same playbook used by FDR 25 years latergrumpy pickle wrote: ↑March 30th, 2023, 2:51 pm Imo, all wars are Banker Pig wars.

Oh hell no...American financiers were all over that war...both before and during.Vercingetorix wrote: ↑March 30th, 2023, 2:58 pm I get what you mean, WWI started in Eurooe absent of American hands. Rumor has it...and I have never been able to verify 100 % ...that J.P. Mogan is really J.P. Morganstern...yes...a money lender form biblical connections. His ancestery is obscure and vague but it does track back to the Bavarian area of what is now Germany.
The American banks were HEAVILY connected to the vast wealth of the Russian Empire...I'm talking obscene amounts of money and jewels.
Part of the reason the Czar was overthrown was that a group of people connected to the secret info that the banks contained WANTED that fortune and conspired to create the ovethrow of the Czr.
Weirdly, they suceeded....BIGLY.
Millions and millions of dollars of the Russian Imperial Treasury and Jewels seemigly disappeared into thin air.
This money surfaces later in the 1950's....in America...in the form of new start up entreprenuerial businesses and ceratin families being able to effortless send their sons to elite Medical and Law schools.
Ever wonder how certain families rise from dirt poor poverty to riches in ONE generation ?
