4th covid jab

Re: 4th covid jab
Do you thinks it makes a difference?
I've been directly exposed a few times and haven't got it yet.
Have a few fully vaxxed folks at work going on their second or third round.
Only one unvaxxed kid has had it so far.
He said it was the sniffles

The mere fact it doesn't work as advertised or any other previous vaccines ought to make people more circumspect, but - oh well.

Re: 4th covid jab
I’m torn. I got omicron after my first booster had time to become fully effective. So I’m not sure a second is going to afford me any additional protection at this time. I’m also waiting to see if they (moderna) are going to get approval on their latest vaccine. Seems it might be better than the original at combatting variants. My gp says all bets are off. Seeing all kinds of weirdness from this disease. Many people think it ends after their sniffles go away, it doesn’t.
On a side note it is really having its way with a lot of my anti vax friends lately. Even omicron is putting them down for a couple weeks. It’s not done with us yet. Not by a long shot.

Re: 4th covid jab
Can’t really say as I am a sample size of one. Just like when I took beta interferon for years when the MS diagnosis hit me. Did they work? Don’t know as I could not go back and not take them and see if I got sick/worse.
All I can say is I did travel often when most folks didn’t, got exposed for sure and never caught it as far as I know. They are free and side effects were nothing for me, so went with number 4….

Re: 4th covid jab
It's hard to say if it will do any good. It's definitely geared toward the Covid-19 first variant and since it has evolved, it's hard to say if it is even effective.
But, the good news is that you haven't gotten it.

Re: 4th covid jab
I did the first two (Pfizer). Got 'em as soon as I was able to, because frankly when this thing first got serious in the beginning of 2020 it had me a bit freaked - I fall into several of the comorbidity groups, I'm old, and I was watching several people I knew go through absolute hell with it.
Since then there's been doubts about the efficacy of the vaccine, anecdotal crap about it killing people, and we've had no fewer than three exposures at work which we kept from spreading just by having some strict-but-not-absurd policies in place.
I've opted out of doing any more jabs for the time being at least. It doesn't hurt that I'm a fuckin' hermit who doesn't really see anybody I don't work with, and even then I work mostly solo... my potential transmission vectors are relatively few.

Re: 4th covid jab
Had my 4th shot (2nd booster) yesterday. Arm a bit painful around injection site, as it was after the 1st booster and I expect my arm to be a bit feverish for a couple of days, also as it was previously...
