What Wine to Drink With Thanksgiving Dinner.

Tomorrow is my favorite holiday and we always go all out.

We have tried Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

What are you drinking ?
Keep going.

All of those pair quite well with most Thanksgiving fare.

Here's two other AMAZING pairings that most folks are unaware of:

-Cabernet and dark chocolate
-Champagne and fried shrimp

Bon appetit.

I'm more of a Traditionalist.

I don't consider Thanksgiving to be a chocolate holiday ( Like Halloween, Christmas, Easter and Valentine's Day )

My desserts are the traditional "harvest themed' pumpkin based, apple based and pecan pie.

I'm in Pa. and we don't generally have seafood on the menu.

Thanks for the pairing suggestions...I added them to my future foodie experiments !
Keep going.

Woodbridge Chardonnay (Napa Valley) for the whole meal.

Maybe a little cognac out on the deck after, if it's not too cold.

Depends on the attendees. For a large group I’d have a bottle of the bubbles with the appetizer. With the main dinner I’d have a bottle of Australian Syrah, Oregon Pinot Noir, Sonoma Merlot (2 bottles), a cali zinfandel and a bottle or two of un-oakes cali Chardonnay. Desert is a port.

For a simple small dinner, just some Chardonnay and a Merlot.

We generally don’t serve alcohol at the dinner table for family gatherings. I’ve got a bottle of coke. Not sure if I’ll have it or not. Might save it for Christmas. If so then it will be water…. Boring.

We do have a cocktail hour before hand. Hard to tell how that will pan out.

I always revert to what humorist Justin Wilson, Louisiana's Cajun answer to Mark Twain and Will Rogers, and noted chef, used to say. What type of whine goes with a meal?

"The kind you like."

If family is going to be there: all of it
I'm not here for peace. I have no interest in it. You had your chance. You will either cease, or it will get worse.
