Not many of Trump's base supports Fox news.

Fox carried DT for the years leading up his win over HRC and all thru his administration.

Fox pundits supported "stop the steal". I don't recall any negative reporting on him going into the 2020 GE. Very little critique post J6 until Dominion sued. Even now R's who do watch Fox, not necessarily MAGAs, still would vote for him should he run.

Obviously, Murdock decided DT is done, but they will still give him all the coverage he needs to stay front and center in the news cycle. With DT's legal problems staying in the news is the least of his worries.

I don't follow any of the DT legal stuff religiously. It seems they didn't find much with Russia or his taxes. Don't care about his girlfriends of years past. Seriously? This is all you've got on him? The Jan 6th stuff... he certainly didn't call for an insurrection. The continuous yapping about winning the 2020 election? Meh, nothing illegal. Let's say Desantis wins. Or the most ethical, reasonable man of Solomonic wisdom decided to run and win the GOP nomination.

Does anyone really believe the press coverage would be much different than it was for Trump? Or Bush II.

The investigation into Russia in 2016 wasn't about DT himself. It was some of the people around him, Flynn and Bannon primarily. His taxes will see jury trial in NY State. The payment to S Daniels looks like it's headed on that direction.

J6 is way more complicated. But before that is Georgia's AG and grand jury which is close to a final decision on who is charged and who isn't.

The 'Stop the Steal' campaign and J6 include people around DT. You are correct nothing is illegal by claiming election fraud, activities surrounding that claim may be, in fact there is a direct relationship between the claim and the participants of J6. That hasn't been pressed by DOJ to date.

Fox News owner decides who he backs and for whatever reason. My opinion has no sway in his formulation who to back in 2024. It won't be JB that's for sure. Leaving someone with an R after their name. People who are observing Fox News intuit it's not DT.

The mass media has a proven leftist bias. I don't see that changing. Shortest version, they go negative as soon as possible on the 2024 R contenders.

Indeed, Trump is just another in a long line. FOX is another seeking to be a kingmaker. Their status as conservativr.is kind of overblown though I havent sen the channel outside of clips for.several years.
